Drop #8: Enterprise Plugins Get Private Marketplaces & Google Calendar Arrives

by ClaudeCowork.com

Welcome to Drop #8. Enterprise Cowork plugins are expanding with private marketplaces for internal-only tools, and Google Calendar is now live as a native connector. Read on for details on both.

News This Week

Enterprise Plugins Get Private Marketplaces

Cowork Enterprise now supports private plugin marketplaces. Teams can build, host, and distribute internal plugins without publishing to the public registry. This opens up use cases for compliance teams, finance, and internal-only automations. API docs are live on the enterprise hub.

Google Calendar Connector Launches

Google Calendar is now a native Cowork connector. Read your schedule, block time, create events, and send invites directly from Claude. Integration with Dispatch means you can text Claude from your phone to add calendar items on the fly. Rolling out to all Pro and Max users today.

Tip of the Week: Automate Your Calendar with Dispatch and Google Calendar

The new Google Calendar connector pairs beautifully with Dispatch. You can now text Claude from your phone to handle calendar tasks without ever opening the calendar app. Here's how to set it up.

Steps:

  1. Enable Google Calendar in Cowork Settings → Connectors
  2. Authenticate with your Google account — Grant Cowork permission to read and write calendar events
  3. Open Dispatch on your phone and send Claude a message like "Add breakfast with Sarah tomorrow at 8am for 30 minutes"
  4. Verify and confirm — Claude will show you the event details before adding it
  5. Use it regularly — "What's on my calendar today?" and "Block time for deep work Friday afternoon" both work

Bonus: Use with the assistant instruction "Always suggest calendar blocks before I agree to new meetings." Claude will protect your deep work time automatically.

Two announcements point to the same direction: Claude works better when it can reach the tools you already use. Private plugins for enterprise, and open connectors for everyone. This week, hook up Google Calendar and try one automated calendar task. You'll see what I mean.

Until next time.
