Access Scope
Local Folders
Permitted Actions
Why these permissions? Dispatch requires Cowork running on your desktop to execute tasks. Your phone sends requests to your desktop, which performs the actual work. The permissions your tasks have depend entirely on what folders are open in Cowork on your desktop.
Workflow Steps
Open Claude for iOS or Android
Launch the Claude app on your phone and make sure you're signed into your account.
Find the Cowork persistent thread
In the Claude app, locate the Cowork thread — this is the persistent connection to your desktop Cowork instance.
Type your task request
Send a message asking Claude to do something with your files or data. Be specific about what you want checked, summarized, or processed.
Claude runs the task on your desktop
Your task request is sent to Cowork running on your desktop, which executes it using your configured folders and permissions.
Read the result in the thread
Claude returns the result right in the phone thread so you can review it, share it, or ask follow-up questions immediately.
