The integration is built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the same open standard Claude uses for its other connectors.
Through the MCP integration, teams can ask an AI assistant to create, assign, update, and follow up on tasks directly in Slack. Chaser describes itself as the only Slack-native project management tool connected to Claude, and it also supports other compatible tools like ChatGPT.
As co-founder and CEO Josh Martow framed it, Chaser "works because it lives where teams already are, in Slack." Connecting it to Claude, he said, means the busywork of assigning, chasing, and reporting on tasks can largely happen on its own. Chaser is available to any team on Slack with a free 14-day trial that includes unlimited seats and requires no credit card.
What This Means If You Use Cowork
If you run Cowork, the interesting part is the handoff. Chaser says that for teams using Claude Cowork, Claude can pull information from its other connections to identify work that needs doing and propose Chaser tasks for it - like an email that needs a follow-up.
