Your first web Cowork task: realistic example
Here's what a typical first task looks like on web Cowork:
Example: "Organize my emails"
- You: "Go through my Gmail inbox and move all newsletters to a 'Newsletters' folder. Show me the summary first."
- Claude: "I'll use your Gmail connector to scan your inbox, identify newsletters, and propose a plan. Here are the 47 emails I found. Ready to proceed?"
- You: "Proceed."
- Claude: [Works in the background] "Done. Moved 47 emails to your Newsletters folder."
- Result: You can close your browser, and the work continues. Check back later to see the results.
Web Cowork always asks for approval before taking action—you're in control. The task runs on remote sessions, so you don't need to stay online.
